4E Love Shack

I heard this song on the radio earlier this week, and it brought back fond college memories.

My freshman year, I lived in Fisher Hall on 4W; my brother floor, 4E, had turned their storage room into a "love shack." I've only ever been in there once, and only to check it out, not to hang out in there. I don't even remember who brought me there. It was definitely a sophomore, because I didn't hang out with freshmen that year.
After I heard the song, I thought about saying hey to the guys, and telling them about the song and how I still remember them. But I never did. I don't know what held me back, maybe because since they graduated, we haven't really kept in touch. I guess I really wanted to tell the guys, though, because I ended up having a dream about it.

I dreamt that we were hanging out. It was the whole 4E gang: Tyler, Dan, Reid, Taylor, Sam, Phila, and some non-4Easters, like Jonathan and Jillee. I forgot what we were doing, or talking about, as dreams go. But it was so chill. We were just hanging out, having fun, the way we used to. Then, out of the blue, I turn to the guys and say, "hey, I heard the Love Shack on the radio yesterday. You still remember the Shack on your floor?" and everyone did. It was a good time.

One-footed Cat

Yesterday morning, I had a bad dream.

I dreamt of my cat, Mimi, my little wolf. He lost his hind legs. It was more than just his hind legs...it was more like the entire back half of his body, and he was walking around on two feet. My brother had friends over, so we kept the cat in the laundry room. Sometime in the middle of the day, I went to go check up on the cat, and when I opened the door, the cat was there, waiting. But there, on the floor, was another paw! So my poor cat was only a head and a paw.
Not much of a body. The head just flowed right into the foot as if it was the most natural thing in the world. No blood, no mess. Just an extra foot on the floor. The cat didn't seem too bothered by it.

Poor, poor, Mimi. I woke up right after that scene.

Strange thing was that the cat looked normal. Maybe a little more cartoonish than in real life, but otherwise, normal.
